Welcome to my ProZ.com profile!

I'm Alessandro, a Brazilian translator who is passionate about my
profession and willing to provide customers with translations in the fields I
am specialized in. One of the things I love the most is to learn about
languages since I was a child, and what mysteries and rules lie in such a
learning process. 

I have been working with translation companies and end customers for some years,
bearing in mind that I should always improve as a professional and a human being.
At first, I worked in the import/export area for almost 3 years before shifting
to the one and only field of translation. Since then, I think to myself right
off the bat, "this is where I belong for sure!"

Until now, you can see my academic background as
follows:

- Postgraduation course in Translation at Universidade Estácio de Sá (concluded in 2023);

- Bachelor's Degree in Translation/Interpreting (English and Portuguese) at FMU - Faculdades Metropolitanas Unidas (concluded in 2021);

- Semiotics course at Faculdade Méliès (concluded in 2021);

- Specialization course in Translation at DBB Curso de
Especialização de Tradutores (concluded in 2021);

- Course on Medical Translation Practice at USP -
Universidade de São Paulo (concluded in 2018);

- Technical Course in Micro and Small Business
Management at Centro Paula Souza (concluded in 2009).

Current activities: I am learning new languages and have been coursing a graduation course in Translation to enhance translation skills, advanced grammar understanding, both in English and Portuguese, and refresh the entire linguistic knowledge I have obtained while on college.

Some of my hobbies include reading, cooking, playing the guitar (not so good at it,
though), studying language-related or translation-related subjects, listening
to music, going out with family and friends, and so on.
