I learnt a few words of Dutch Sign Language, which I used with my baby (because they can sign at an earlier age than speak), such as drink, eat, ball and sleep. And everyone in the Netherlands still recalls the Covid press conferences, when people were hoarding up toilet paper, etc. The sign word for "hoarding" went viral! https://tenor.com/view/kaag-irma-gif-22168314

Those I've picked up when openly (ensuring they knew I was) watching deaf people speaking on trains or anywhere else. That is aside from those I had learned from the Native Americans.

Used it a bit in Sunday School Jun 2, 2025

Sign language is great to teach little ones songs with actions, and we often used them when teaching Sunday School. We also taught them signs such as for 'love', 'thank you', 'God', 'Jesus', and I still know these!
