I believe that Proz should retire its use of this term. After all, this is a site for language professionals, and we should be even more attuned to these nuances than those outside of our sphere. ▲ Collapse

I believe that Proz should retire its use of this term. After all, this is a site for language professionals, and we should be even more attuned to these nuances than those outside of our sphere.
Proz still uses the derogatory term “Nigerian Scammer” when even the World Bank and IMF glossaries have changed it.
It seems changes here take time—a long, long time; just look at the development of the new site. So, changing an offensive term from their site will take ages, IMHO.
