Born in Brussels, Belgium, in a French speaking family with Italian background, languages and travelling were a passion from an early age. I moved to Rome at 19, and worked as a Tour Guide over two summers with American, Italian and French tourists.
I then moved to Turin where I grew up as an adult, working as a French teacher at the French Cultural Centre, freelance technical translator, and setting up a School for Translators and Interpreters.
After over 20 years in Italy, I moved to the UK where I launched and managed Steven Harkin Leather Bags, at international tradeshows, a shop in London and Folkestone, and an online boutique. I built various websites, and was responsible for sales and marketing, PR and social media and customer care service.
For the past 4 years, I have worked as main translator at ElecLink (a Eurotunnel sister company), specialising in the High Voltage and Railway industry fields.
