Hi all,

I've been reading through the ATA's guide to a translation service agreement. It states that mediation in a dispute takes place in accordance with the mediation procedures of the American Arbitration Association's Mediation Services. This is obviously for UK based translators/agencies, however, I'm British and live in the UK.

Is there any equivalent association in the UK?

Thanks

David

Hello David. I suppose it will depend if you are a member of a professional association and/or if you have professional liability insurance.

Yes, you're quite right!

So I guess that for an individual or company not belonging to an association, it's the law courts?
