Getting NAATI accreditation verified by Proz Thread poster: Andrew Mills

Hi,
Does anyone know of a way to get evidence of NAATI accreditation in a format that is acceptable to Proz for verification purposes, other than the pricey option of ordering certificates from NAATI?
Any information on your experiences or advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated
Cheers,

Perhaps you could just provide a link to NAATI's official directory showing your details. I believe my credentials have been verified by Proz but I don't remember sending my official certificate.

I have had my certificates verified by Proz.com with a scanned copy several times in the past. You definitely want to ask Proz.com about this again. If a scanned copy of your certificate is no longer acceptable and you need to send them an official copy of your certification, then I reckon that doing so could be a good investment, since it will automatically allow you to ask for better rates.
Just out of sheer curiosity: how much does NAATI charge to issue a certificate? | | | Vanda Nissen Австралия Local time: 23:31 English to Russian + ... an accreditation letter | Feb 10, 2013 |
Hi Andrew!
Proz.com did not accept the link to NAATI'a official directory but after I sent them an accreditation letter I had got from NAATI, my credentials have been verified.
I did not intend spending 60AUD on useless certificate.
Good luck!

Do you mean that the accreditation is useless or that the certificate itself is useless? If the accreditation is useful, you surely want the credential in your hand, and not just a letter? | | | Andrew Mills Жапония Local time: 22:31 Indonesian to English + ... TOPIC STARTER
Thank you everyone for the helpful and speedy responses.
Vanda - I'll try sending Proz a copy of an email I received from NAATI a few weeks ago confirming my NAATI number, which I had lost. Maybe that'll be acceptable.
Tomás - It's AUD90 per certificate (i.e. per language pair and direction) delievered within Australia, or AUD141 per certificate delivered abroad, as I would require. Ouch. | | | Vanda Nissen Австралия Local time: 23:31 English to Russian + ... NAATI stamps | Feb 10, 2013 |
We've got NAATI stamps, so no need to have certificates:). We certify our translations using our personal stamps.
