Yo he trabajado in-house para un par de empresas pero nunca he dejado de ser independiente.
Pensaba que lo de in-house se refería simplemente a que tienes que trabajar/traducir donde el cliente por razones normalmente técnicas (trabajar directamente en un determinado interface de usuario), o por tener que coordinar in situ con otros departamentos.
Normalmente, un trabajo in-house es por horas y está bien pagado. De lo que se está hablando aquí me suena a un empleo normal y corriente, con sueldo bajo pero con ciertas garantías "sociales" que un independiente no tiene.
¿O equivócome?

Un puesto casi inexistente hasta que algunos argentinos empezaron a conseguir tanto trabajo afuera que comenzaron a necesitar más manos. ¡Y está bien! Siempre que las tarifas que consigan afuera sean las internacionales y siempre que paguen un buen sueldo al traductor interno.
