I am hoping to improve my French to English translation skills, is anyone aware of an evening / online course that covers such topics?

There are a few online language courses (not specifically designed for translators though): Babbel, Coursera, Italki… Some Proz members are also language teachers, it’s probably best if you post a request under Proz.com exchange (https://www.proz.com/?sp=exchange&sp_mode=overview). Good luck!
