There is no "No" option selectable. This AI-positive brainwashing needs to stop.
AFAIK the factors that have been enhancing global tourism are improved pay and leave allowances, cheap flights from budget airlines, decrease in the relative cost of holidays, better tourism infrastructure (transportation, accommodations, and amenities)…
Notthing to do with AI! | | |
The fact there is no 'NO' option speaks legions | Apr 6 |

Some people now routinely use AI to answer KudoZ questions in fields and languages they don't know at all. And it is allowed. The powers that be at Proz are clearly on board with this latest and deadliest profession-destroying techy creation. So of course 'NO' is not even an option.

There is no "yawn" option, either.

Could we please put a stop to these quick polls about using AI for tourism, housekeeping, doing laundry, planning your holidays or drawing up your shopping list?
It's getting very boring and ProZ is bombarding us with AI banners anyway (I think it's very clear where the site's financing is coming from)
AI and global tourism | Apr 7 |
I’ve served years in hospitality management at hotels targeting inbound tourists in Tokyo. While AI can speed up certain processes, it still lacks a human element which brings guests back time and time again.
No matter how advanced AI becomes, it won’t be able to replace interacting with another living, breathing human.

There is that little but crucuial aspect in communication that regards term definition and context. Without clarifying it, communication is not possible, making this just another poll with "ai" in the title (they sometimes look like created randomly - Do you believe that ai enhances your cat's experience?)
It would be in ProZ's own interest not putting that emphasis on ai (see what others to in their branch).

Allegedly, Trump's latest tariffs have also been calculated by ChatGPT and there we are now. I don't know how true it is, but the fact that it could be entirely possible speaks for itself.

Yes, probably. It's just a pity that they decided to fully jump on the hypetrain, all while losing paying translator members in droves.

Seems like a good short-term strategy (AI dollars), but not sure how smart it’ll be as a long-term strategy.

AI in tourism? Only if there’s a poll that sends AI on a loooong trip... somewhere really far away, like the "land of no more AI polls".
