You'd been far better - even cheaper - off with a PCIe SSD or a Fusion Drive. But I'm not going to waste more time on somebody who wants to "Switch to OS X" only to use Windows.

I agree that iWork can be somewhat labyrinthine when it comes to formatting, but once you've found where the commands are, it's easy enough.

I wouldn't call iWork rubbish. I use Pages and Numbers quite a lot. Unlike MSOffice they have one very significant advantage: they don't crash.
