In January and August each year, the high street is dominated by sales and clearance events. XXXXXXXX follows this trend by having a higher proportion of clearance merchandise than normal as a result of seasonal change in our product mix.
The levels of clearance determine the precise timing of final clearance week. Once a date has been identified stores should follow the following steps.
➊ Upon completion of the final set of initial markdowns, received prior to final clearance week, all scamped product will have a yellow ***scamp sticker***. This will then assist stores in identifying which clearance products to move into final clearance area.
➋ All initial markdowns identified by a red ticket should remain in the host area using regular clearance baddles.
....
In fact I am not sure how to understand "scamp" here. The only definition I found was "to take without authorization", and I am sure the store owners would not like their product to be "taken without authorization"

I don't think it's a typo or an acronym.
