English term

cooler-running

English Tech/Engineering Computers: Hardware
...smaller, cooler-running and more cost-effective small footprint PCs...

Does `cooler-running' mean they are not overheated? Or they are simply `very cool' (running great)? Or anything else?

Thank you in advance!

running at a lower temperature

i.e. you're right - it's the literal meaning of 'cool'.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you very much, dear colleagues! As far as I see, it's about heating -- so I give points to Angela who was the first, but I'm equally grateful to the both answers and all peers. Thank you very much!"

not generating so much heat when operating

no hidden context IMHO
Peer comment(s):

agree Nick Lingris : Yes, cool! Even more accurate: "generating less heat than the average computer".
