English to Romanian Tech/Engineering Telecom(munications)

The problem that I encountered in this case is that the number of characters in the target language exceeds the given limit: this is a notification that will pop up in an app, alerting the user that he can not perform certain tasks because the battery level is critical.
The translation should be short and concise and I can't seem to find an elegant solution. "Nivelul bateriei este critic" and "Baterie aproape descărcată" really don't seem to fit. Should I use abbreviations?
