Eu sunt de părere că dacă autorul textului a ales să zică dehydrated cream în loc de powder cream/cream powder, traducătorul trebuie să respecte alegerea, chiar dacă acestea sunt sinonime.

cream powder ar fi fost praf de smantana, la fel cum e milk powder, washing powder, dar aici se foloseste dehydrated ,de aceea am pastrat cuvantul deshidratat.
cream este smantana si nu frisca (whipped cream)

Îi înțeleg și pe cei care au sugerat frișcă, pentru că în State smântână este întotdeauna ”sour cream”. Cred că și eu aș fi fost tentată să dau aceeași soluție. "

cred ca asta este, apare ca in lista de aditivi alimentari de mai jos ( item E472b sau asa ceva)

nu poate fi smantana, incat aceasta nu poate fi "dehydrated" ( si nu este acelasi lucru ca Sour Cream- smantana)
Daca "dehydrated cream" se foloseste in cafea atunci este sigur lapte praf (chiar daca nu l-au numit dehydrated milk)
Depinde de context si la ce este folosit acest ingredient.

cu o singura observatie: whipped ( sau uneori whip) cream este frisca batuta ! spre deosebire de 'cream' care este frisca lichida
