During this stage, it is important to collect detailed information about the site being assessed: identification data, location, number of people working there, detailed description of the workplaces, activities and/or utilization (e.g. Oil & Gas processing plants; storages, offices, archives, unmanned areas, meeting rooms, server’s areas, warehouses, engine rooms, canteens, dormitory, etc).
Moreover, it is necessary to identify:
• where people are working at permanent or at occasional locations around the premises (such as contractors, etc..);
• employees working alone (e.g. cleaners, security staff);
• people being in isolated areas (e.g. maintenance staff, staff on cranes, reach trucks and **cat walks***);
