English term

crisp (adj.)

English to Arabic Art/Literary Furniture / Household Appliances design
Dear all,

How can we translate the adj. "crisp" into Arabic in the follwing context:

"This bathroom just feels very clean, crisp"

I think "crisp" in the previous example has the same meaning in this:

"music with a crisp rhythm"

Now, How can we translate it into Arabic?

(*Note: I translated "clean" as أنيقة )

Thanks a lot.

Discussion

yes, I thought of "elegant" and "attractive". She talks about the design yes.
Arabic & More Mar 21, 2011:
I'm not sure what the author intended, but two possibilities come to mind:

1. Crisp could mean fresh

2. It could also refer to the bathroom's design being "crisp," which would imply a clean, smooth (simple, yet elegant) design

شديد البهاء

هذه الكلمة تعني أيضا: شديد البهاء والتألق
وعليه فمن الممكن أن تكون الترجمة: "يبدو المرحاض شديد الأناقة والبهاء"
Note from asker:
Yes, بهاء suits this context more than نضر . They carry the same meaning, though. Can't thank you enough. It's a difficult word to translate.

نظيف، نضر

نضر بمعنى fresh, bright, clean, crisp. They have the same meaning.

agree Lamis Maalouf : I really like that word نضر. I totally agree with the usage of شديد النظافة . This is what anyone desires in a bathroom more than anything else as looking nice or أنيق :)

agree mohamed015 : أعتقد أن نضر هي الأقرب في هذه الحالة
