Danish term

disponibel (in this context)

Danish to English Other Other text layout
Normally, disponibel means "available" of course. However, when written next to a text section number with no text in that section such as in the following example I've taken from Google, how would it translate into English? Does it still mean "available" in the sense that information can be obtained but isn't printed here, or does it mean words to the effect of "yet to be completed"?
TIA

Discussion

Helen Johnson (asker) Jun 13, 2012:
Sorry folks and thanks for your answers. I think it'll have to be "available" but of course it could be different if the context were made known.
Helen Johnson (asker) Jun 10, 2012:
This is what comes of being asked to translate a TOC before any particular chosen sections of a document. Not easy because you often can't translate a TOC properly without knowing what the sections are about anyway. I think I'll have to mention this, but will use "not yet written" for the moment. Actual link the example came from so you can see how many times "disponibel" is used, including in the actual text meaning "available" (if you have the interest or desire) is https://www.retsinformation.dk/forms/R0710.aspx?id=25862

Agree fully with Gitte Gitte is spot-on I think. It can mean all of the above suggestions, but the correct one will depend on the context.
We're talking of 'chapter / section 44', so I would imagine that 441 and 442 are subsections. Based on this, my guess would be that 441 hasn't been written yet, and is awaiting completion, but without knowing the full context, it's difficult to be more specific. All the best!

Depends entirely on context It could be any one of a number of things, depending on the context, e.g.

spare
not in use
unoccupied
open
free
at disposal
