Catalan term or phrase: Qui més vulla més hi diga

This appears in "Los cóssos", a poem presented at the Jocs Florals in 1859. It describes a race and contains numerous comments of the "bon coratge" variety. This phrase appears in a couplet I find very difficult to translate: Qui més vulla més hi diga / qui més puga corri més. Can anyone help with the interpretation of this text? The translation doesn't have to be poetry, I'm only required to give a reasonable idea of what it means in English. In case it's helpful I give below the two lines in question with the sentences preceding and following. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Ja us esperen les fadrines:
bon coratge, fadrinets.
Qui més vulla més hi diga;
qui més puga corri més.
Tres quarts d’onze ja són: doneu-vos pressa,
que, dintre un quart, ja no hi sereu a temps.
