English to Italian Science Agriculture

Hello everyone and thank you for taking the time to help me with this.
I am translating an article that explains how big companies/corporate are trying to push synthetic food on the market and how this supposedly eco-friendly/sustainable lab-grown food is not planet-friendly at all!

The sentence goes like "Filler ingredients for those products also still rely on ......". I am trying to find a single word or a couple of words that can translate the term "filler ingredients". As in this category are included many types of "filler" - from additives to carbohydrates - I think it is a bit inaccurate just going with "additivi". My plan B is to translate "ingredienti 'fillers'" adding a short explanation such as "di basso valore nutritivo, che aumentano il volume del prodotto finale contenendo i costi di produzione" but I was wondering if any of you have a shorter solution.
