I preferred the Xxxxxx camera as I insisted to stay on an open quality system, but also due to the fact that Xxxxxx is very reliable and it is easy to use, it gets the job done – Xxxxxx offers a wide range of possible backs and lenses, I chose the XXX back and it was an obvious decision and I chose 35mm, 45mm, 80mm, 210mm, macro120mm and APO300mm.

If we are talking about DSLRs, then they only consist of a lens and a body, which seems to be called a 'back' here; one reputable client of mine refers to these electronic 'backs' as 'boîtiers'.
However, if we are talking about the traditional style for medium-format cameras (Hasselblad etc.), then you would have a lens, a body, and a separate back (with the film or whatever in it). In that case, 'dos' is the correct term.

Comment: "Bon, finalement j'ai laissé "dos numérique" dans ma trad, mais ça vallait quand même le coup de reposer la question, ne serait-ce que pour les explications accompagnant vos réponses. Merci à tous !"
